Problem

Why it exists

TV interfaces can make app activity and power controls hard to manage, and Android restricts some operations for ordinary apps.

Solution

TVPilot puts basic device and app information in a remote-friendly interface and offers advanced actions through optional Shizuku access.

No analytics, advertising or tracking; the app requests no Internet permission. App usage information stays on the device.
Features

Core capabilities

01

Sleep, restart and power off where supported

02

Recent apps, usage time and runtime state

03

Protected bulk force-stop and a Never Close list

04

D-pad navigation and optional Quick Settings tiles

Who is it for?

People who want more control over an Android TV or Google TV device using its remote.

Requirements

  • Android TV or Google TV device
  • Separately installed Shizuku and explicit consent for advanced actions
  • Optional Usage Access to display app activity

Known limitations

  • Power and force-stop actions need Shizuku; full shutdown depends on the device firmware.
  • Designed around Xiaomi TV Box S 2nd Gen; behavior may vary on other TV firmware.
