NoviPrivacy Policy
This page describes Novi’s current data approach before its store release.
1. Product purpose
An app connecting your Android phone and Mac over the local network for notifications, files, clipboard and device controls.
2. Core data approach
Notifications, clipboard content and files travel over an encrypted local connection between paired devices; there is no Novi account, content cloud, advertising or behavioral analytics.
Novi processes selected notification and continuity content on paired devices. Local history and preferences may remain on those devices until removed by the user.
3. Permissions
- Android 10 or newer phone and a Mac
- Both devices on the same local network
- Android Notification Access for notifications; optional camera access for pairing
Permissions are requested only to provide the related feature. You can revoke them in operating-system settings; some functionality may then stop working.
4. Third-party services
Google Play and Apple may process app distribution and purchase data under their own policies. Novi uses Google ML Kit on Android to scan pairing QR codes on the device.
5. Retention and deletion
Pairing details, preferences and limited local history can be removed from the apps or by clearing app data. Support emails are kept only as long as legally and operationally necessary.
6. Children’s privacy
The product is not designed specifically for children. Contact us if you believe personal data relating to a child was submitted inadvertently.
